So it's been I believe 3 days since we started putting Emma to bed in her big girl bed.. It hasn't been as painful as I would have thought it was going to be..
For the most part Emma is really loving her bed and never gives us a problem with putting her in there ..so the first couple nights she stayed in there for the night..although she did get up super early at least she stayed in there. Last night.. she was a little harder to settle down..she finally fell asleep.. got up and came and found me.. I took her back in her room laid next to her bed on the floor (6 months pregnant ...mind u) well needless to say as soon as she was asleep.. I snuck out of her room considering I couldn't feel my butt and it took me a minute to roll around to get up enough momentum to get my butt up (you can picture that if you want) but anyway .. I figured.. oh that was easy..nope it wasn't, about an hour later she was up again and refused to go back into her room, so of course I gave in, I am a sucker for the boo boo lip.
So I let her sleep in daddy's recliner in the living room, her favorite sleep spot. I sleep in the living room.. because I "move" too much for Emma's daddy to sleep ... even worse when I am pregnant.
Well recently I read a blog entry on a mom website about what makes "you" a bad mom..just a fun way to list things moms do that aren't "ideal" or stuff we always said we would never do and find ourselves doing on a daily basis.. So it made me think of the things I catch myself doing or allowing Emma to do that aren't always an ideal parenting tool , well things that aren't most people's idea of "ideal" ... I wanted to share these on Emma's blog so she can see how perfectly imperfect her mommy is :)
I am a bad mom because.....
I let Emma watch too much tv.
I laugh sometimes when shes being bad...because she's so darn cute.
I give in A LOT... when I probably shouldn't
I curse too much...still.. I tried to clean up my mouth and sometimes can.. but the "jersey" in me comes out when I am mad or aggitated about something . (not that daddy is any better at cleaning up his mouth and he isn't from the dreaded "jersey")
Since I am pregnant and constantly tired I encourage more naps than I should , I am getting better with that now because of our new bedtime routine and big girl bed.. but I can obviously get better at trying to be active during the day though.
I don't always have the healthiest meal options for Emma to choose from and I give in if she wants only cheese for lunch instead of the sandwich I made her she gets only cheese. Or sometimes she wants cereal for lunch or a snack and I give it to her.. and sometimes it's "gasp" sugary cereal.
And that's all I can really think of stuff that could be considering bad to some moms..
Emma and I just had some breakfast , she had cheese on toast and I had egg whites with spinach and toast. Now shes playing with her puzzles :) and mommy is trying to decide to whether or not to start cleaning yet lol
Well til next time.. xoxxo

My baby is 2 already!!
Emma turned 2 on January 7th :)
We had her birthday at McDonald's in the playplace.. Emma absolutely loved it. She actually squealed when she saw the play area :)) It was super cheap and turned out so much better than I expected! she had her little friends there and the turn out was just perfect, she got a lot of cute stuff that she simply adores and got to meet 2 cousins for the 1st time ever! Her little bf was there Jacob and he brought her flowers.. adorable. I was a bad mom and forgot my camera....oops... so all the pics I took where on my phone.. :((( but my friends husband got a video of Emma being sang to and uploaded it to FB so I am happy for that.. :))
A lot of changes have occurred lately.. with Emma and the family in general.. some bad things but some pretty awesome things as well.. I can't remember if in the last post I announced that Emma will be a big sister in April :)) and we found out a little over a month ago we are expecting a little brother for her :) We still haven't decided on a name yet...(leaving that up to Daddy this time) Emma seems to kinda get that there is a baby in my belly but I am sure she isn't totally understanding it.. but she does hug and kiss my belly and say ahh baby... :)
And the bad.. I lost my job back in November.. so money has been tight and losing our health insurance has been a nightmare.. but I am figuring it out :) I am currently looking for a job and have to admit even though I LOVE being home with Emma.. I am kinda excited to start working again.. I miss that structure and of course.. socializing with people.. other than Emma, my mother and Bradley lol .. I do have a couple pretty awesome friends that I hang out with from time to time which saves my sanity. But all in all I am trying not to stress out about all of this and just enjoy my time home with Emma :)
So I like to post lists.. who doesn't like a good list?? So I will share Emma's likes and dislikes right now :)

Wow.. I haven't posted since Emma was 10 months..
Well.. Emma is now 19 months old.. I have seriously been slacking in the blog dept..
I didn't update about her 1st bday or anything .. I suck at this.. obviously.
Well anyway.. she walks.. talks (in spurts)..attempts going potty on the potty (she has done it a couple times now.. peed and pooped!!) For a couple days we thought it was gonna happen.. potty training.. but..nope we are back to the drawing board and I am not too worried about it.. it will happen when it happens.
Emma is super smart..beautiful and perfect in every way.. She is hilarious.. and has such a huge personality in that cute little body :) Still 19 months later.. I can't believe I made her.. well with help of course lol
I love lists.. so here we go.. gonna list some of Emma's fav things right now :)
Chasing the dog around the house
macaroni & cheese
pb&j
finger painting..with paint and ketchup
ketchup for eating and finger painting
hanging out with Baby (her Babydoll)
carrying around her blankies
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
Sesame Street
Cat in the Hat
Martha Speaks
Curious George
sticks
her big sister
cuddling and snacking with Mommy
playing and dancing with Daddy
chocolate milk
playing with Mommy's phone
hanging out with mom mom
torturing Miya....I mean playing with her
giving high 5's
being outside
animals
reading books with Mommy
pancakes
smelling her feet and making a face and acting like she is throwing up because they stink (Daddy taught her that)
I think Emma is pretty awesome to say the least.. <3
ps I am gonna try and do this more often :)

10 months without sleep
November 17, 2011
:::So it's been a while since I posted anything..so here it goes.. Emma is now 10 months old.. she is a crawling champ. Not too interested in walking..well I should say..she isn't interested in walking at all.. She does walk around stuff and hold on to it.. but no steps without holding on. She stands up alone...then realizes it.. and drops down to her butt and starts crawling. I feel like I should start a pool about when she will start walking..
Everyone tells me not to rush it.. because when she starts walking..that's when all the ....."fun" starts..
So..10 months into it.. and Emma still refuses to sleep thru the night..so needless to say I am exhausted..miserable and look like hell . I get told constantly to let her "cry it out"..well I would like to tell you that is easier said than done. We live in a 1 br apt and I sleep in the living room on the couch while Emma sleeps in her crib next to me. So.. being within 10 feet of a screaming baby isn't the most relaxing place to be. From what I am told and read ...She is using me as a pacifier since I breastfeed.. she is looking for comfort in nursing. So I have to try and break her of that. :( Once she wakes up.. I nurse her for like 10-15 minutes then she is back to sleep. Which is much better than her staying up for hours.. I get that. But all this interrupted sleep is killing me. I would say on average I get about 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep per night. if that. As I write this.. Emma is screaming and crying and staring at me. I hate this...it makes me so sad/anxious/nuts. And tonight I gave her chamomile tea.. which from what I read ..and heard it is "supposed" to work.. Well 1oz down..and she is still up and screaming..
I have well rested mothers envy, I can't stand hearing people say..Oh.. my baby sleeps great ...they always have. If they only knew what I am doing to them in my mind as they are telling me this....they would probably just shut up and leave me alone. But no such luck much like the unsolicited advice I receive I still get told how everyone else's baby is sleeping so well.. and that I should do this..and do that.. yeah yeah yeah.
November 18, 2011
::: Update.. The chamomile tea did absolutely nothing.. sigh.. She only drank about an ounce.. So I will try again tonight and try and get her to drink more. In the mean time I am gonna search the internet trying to find something...I am desperate at this point. I just want to sleep O_o
So today..Emma has a playdate with her little friend Gianna :) But first...mommy needs some coffee and we are out of coffee ...so once Emma wakes up again.. I am gonna have to bundle her up and run to DD to get some coffee.. Right now its about 30 degrees outside..brrr.. And let me just say I cannot believe it is almost Christmas..and Emma will be 1 soon!! crazy ...this year flew by. I am gonna look thru her pics and post a timeline of sorts...Sometimes I miss my little newborn. But honestly Emma is at such a fun age right now.. I love it.
I am currently trying to come up with some sort of timeline to display at her 1st birthday party.. :)
Well .. I am out of here for now.. :) Have a great day

Like I have mentioned before.. I never intended on having children. And I would never consider my precious daughter to be an "accident" she was a pleasant surprise.
Being a mother has proved to be the best experience of my entire life.. even with the hours.. days.. of sleep that I lost.. it is all worth it.

8 months :)
Well Emma is 8 months now.. she is a full time crawler and says mama and dada .. it's nothing short of adorable. She is quite the mover as I type this now.. I have one eye on her. She is playing with the dog's leash.. Which brings me to a question I ask myself daily.. She has all these toys scattered across my living room floor.. however she would much rather play with the dog's leash...her diapers ...her clothing..my laptop and my cell phone.. Why do they even make toys? My daughter's obsession with cell phones convinced me to dig out my old Blackberry and give it to her to play with. It has a pink cover like my current phone.. so "sometimes" she is tricked...that is until she sees my phone .. O-o
The other day much to our surprise she took 3 steps all on her own from daddy to mommy :) As exciting as that is.. It makes me so nervous.. walking.. soon?? Oh lord.. hahah
Gotta cut this short.. she is up and on the move.. currently standing at the coffee table trying to get to my keyboard. I will try and keep my entries a little more current.
